PalmataBot retrieves publicly available website content when an authorized Palmata customer asks Palmata to analyze how their brand is represented and what content could be improved.
Palmata identifies its website requests with this User-Agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; PalmataBot/1.0; +https://web-bot.palmata.ai)A User-Agent is a transparent identifier, not cryptographic proof of the requester. Browser-rendered requests may also carry provider-signed Web Bot Auth headers that identify the rendering infrastructure.
Website owners can explicitly allow PalmataBot:
User-agent: PalmataBot
Allow: /To decline access, use Disallow: /. PalmataBot also honors applicable rules in the User-agent: * group.
